Professional Conduct
Nine and Shine provides professional massage and wellness services only. This page explains what that means for our guests, our therapists and the appointments we deliver.
1. Strictly professional service
Every treatment provided by Nine and Shine is a professional massage service performed by a professional female massage therapist. We do not offer any service outside this scope. Enquiries, comments or requests of any non-professional nature will be politely declined and, where necessary, reported to the authorities.
2. Professional female therapists
Our current massage therapists are Shasha and Jerolyn from the Philippines and Mayi from Uganda. Each has five or more years of professional experience.
3. What arrives with your appointment
Your therapist will arrive with a professional massage table, fresh towels and sheets, and three choices of oil. You need only provide a suitable quiet space for the massage table.
4. Therapist safety & welfare
Nine and Shine reserves the right to end an appointment at any time, without refund, if the therapist feels unsafe, disrespected or asked to provide anything outside the scope of a professional treatment. The therapist's welfare is not negotiable.
5. Draping & modesty
All appointments follow professional draping standards. Only the area actively being treated is uncovered at any time. If you prefer more coverage, please let the therapist know.
6. Communication
Please communicate any preferences, focus areas, discomfort or health considerations to the therapist before or during the treatment. Adjustments to pressure, technique or duration can be made as required.
7. Health considerations
Please disclose relevant health information — for example recent surgery, injuries, pregnancy status, allergies or skin conditions — when booking. Certain conditions may require adjustment of the treatment or a doctor's clearance.
8. Reporting concerns
If you experience anything during an appointment that falls short of a professional standard, please contact us immediately at contact@nineandshine.ae. Concerns are handled confidentially and taken seriously.
9. Legal framework
Nine and Shine operates in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any conduct that contravenes UAE law — by a customer or a therapist — will be treated as grounds for immediate termination of the appointment and, where appropriate, reported to the authorities.
